How your funeral home gets listed
Where our listings come from, what makes a home appear on a local page, and what to do if yours is missing.
Where listings come from
Every funeral home on HonestFarewell starts from its state's licensing board register. We list a home when it serves the area and its license isn't lapsed, suspended or revoked.
You don't need to sign up or pay to be listed. Listing is free, and it stays free.
When a local price page appears
An area gets its own price page once at least three homes there have a complete, published price for the same package, such as a direct cremation. Until then, your home is still listed in the state's directory.
If your home is missing or wrong
Email corrections@honestfarewell.org with your home's name, address and license number. We check it against the state board and add or fix the listing, usually within 5 business days.
If you're signing up for Premium and can't find your home, you can add it during sign-up. We confirm it before anything goes live.
Want more from your funeral home's listing?
Premium adds a fuller profile and a labeled sponsored spot on your local pages. It never changes the order of a list.
